Photography policy
Museum visitors are permitted to take non-commercial photographs (i.e. snap shots) within the Museum grounds and within the galleries of the National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House and Royal Observatory. Photography using a tripod is not permitted, nor is any photography within charging special exhibitions.
Some local exceptions to this policy may be in place for reasons of security, conservation or in the interests of the overall visitor experience. Restrictions may also apply where items are on loan and restrictions are a requirement of the loan agreement. Where additional restrictions are required, these restrictions will be indicated locally.
