Your wedding at the Queen's House
The Queen's House, built in the 17th century by Inigo Jones, was the first wholly classical building of its kind in England. Queen Anne, wife of James I, hosted such sumptuous parties that it became known as the 'House of Delight'.
It now provides the perfect venue for civil marriage ceremonies and wedding receptions.
Your wedding co-ordinator
You will receive the personal attention of an events co-ordinator who will guide you through all aspects of your wedding arrangements. Your co-ordinator will work with you throughout – from your initial enquiry to being on hand on your day to ensure everything runs perfectly.
Your wedding ceremony
Bathed in southern light and Palladian romance, the Orangery and its parlours offer an intimate setting for ceremonies for up to 50 guests, and receptions for up to 120 guests. The Orangery and south lawns afford inspiring views across London's oldest Royal Park and up to the world-renowned Royal Observatory. A magnificent setting for your wedding photography.
Your wedding breakfast
Enjoy your first meal together as Husband and Wife at the heart of the Queen's House in the Great Hall. This perfect 40-foot cube with its original black and white marbled floor provides an elegant and palatial backdrop for seated meals for up to 120 guests. A view of the River Thames preserved by royal decree since the 17th century serves as a wonderful backdrop for your speeches.
Your first dance
Dance to the sound of a live band or DJ in the Undercroft, the vaulted former Treasury which lies beneath the Great Hall.
