The Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition is an annual global search for the most beautiful and spectacular visions of the cosmos by amateur and professional astrophotographers. The 2016 winners were announced on 15 September and the winning images are now on display in a stunning free exhibition at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
