Customer services and the visitor experience
Who are the Museum’s internal and external customers and how are their needs defined and approached? This session focuses on real customer-service experiences and includes a practical activity in which students explore the Museum’s internal procedures.
Marketing and the Museum’s brand
How does the Museum market itself to its target audience, and what is the importance of the Museum’s brand? Students explore past and present marketing strategies and analyse the effectiveness of the Museum’s marketing mix.

Pre-visit preparation and information
The National Maritime Museum is an excellent resource for students studying Travel and Tourism, set in the heart of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. However, some prior preparation would also be of use in order to maximise their learning experience.
Groups booked onto these sessions are encouraged to use the Museum as a case study to support student assignments and enhance the work-related aspects of their learning.
