At Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum

Act, investigate, communicate, create, sail

Visit both sites in one day to find all the inspiration children need to write creative stories set at sea.

At Cutty Sark, children will step into the shoes of the crew as they embark on an unforgettable voyage aboard the ship. Taking a letter written by a young apprentice as a starting point, groups will use their senses to explore prop bags and clues before recreating a journey at sea through role play.

At the National Maritime Museum, children explore the theme further with our self-guided Story Ship trail.

The session runs 60 minutes plus self-guided time at Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum.
