What were real pirates like?
In this unique session, children meet a female pirate and find out about treachery and skulduggery on the high seas long ago. Then they have the exciting opportunity to explore some of the Museum’s collection of rare manuscripts, prints, drawings and books relating to pirates, including real pirate journals and letters. The session offers a great chance for children to develop their historical enquiry skills using some of the Museum’s most precious materials.
