Tudor Explorers (KS2)

Key Stage 2: History

In this actor-led session, children join Dan Pew, Tudor seafarer, and hear his lively first-hand account of Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the world. By examining real Tudor portraits and a huge canvas map, and working in small groups to explore replica Tudor objects, children will discover how the Tudors viewed the world, their reasons for exploration and the gruesome realities of life on board a Tudor ship.

A free teachers’ resource pack is available with all booked Tudor sessions.
