Enjoy screenings of vintage, cult and blockbuster sci-fi movies in our planetarium, followed by a short talk on the science behind the fiction by a Royal Observatory astronomer. Set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the Galactic Empire is no more, but from its ashes a new threat has arrived - the First Order and the Knights of Ren. Once again a band of rebels, in the form of the Resistance, rises to the challenge and battles the darkness. Harrsion Ford and Carrie Fisher renew their roles as Han and Leia and are joined by new heroes Rey and Finn played by Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. After the screening surrounded by the stars in London's only planetarium, a Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomer will explore the physics of lightsabers and planet system destroying space stations.
