Sir John Franklin and the search for the North-West Passage
Maria-Antonietta Sorrentino narrates the story of the expedition led by Sir John Franklin in 1845 to search for the North-West Passage. The expedition disappeared in the Arctic, its fate unknown for many years in spite of the attempts of many search parties.
The Museum holds a collection of relics from the expedition, that are on display in the Explorers gallery. There is also a display of Franklin relics in Collections online.
