The Museum sites are normally open daily between 10.00–17.00, last admission 16.30 (Cutty Sark 16.00).
Please note: On Tuesday 28 May, Cutty Sark will close at 15.15 (last admission 14.15).

Extended opening till 18.00: during half-term (25 May–1 June), Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory north site (Meridian Line and Time galleries) and most of the National Maritime Museum will stay open until 18.00 daily, last admission 17.30 (Cutty Sark 17.00). The Royal Observatory's Astronomy Centre closes at 17.00 as usual, as do the galleries on Floors one and two of the National Maritime Museum.

Thursday late closing: The Sammy Ofer Wing and ground floor galleries of the National Maritime Museum stay open late till 20.00 on Thursdays. This includes the Shop, the Museum Café and outside terrace area, the Voyagers gallery and Compass Lounge, the Neptune Court 'streets' and the Explorers and Maritime London galleries.

Closures: the Museum sites are closed 24-26 December, close at 15.00 on 31 December and open at midday on 1 January and on the occasion of the London Marathon. Occasional unavoidable closures to parts of the site are posted in latest visitor information.

Traders: tea

The National Maritime Museum’s ‘Trade Routes’ project explored the history of tea, working with members of the Sehmi Day Centre in Plumstead, south-east London. This film is one of the results of the project and features the Juttla family.
