Or join Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint on the hunt for alien life in our new daily planetarium show We Are Aliens at the Royal Observatory.
Other half-term events include Every cargo tells a story: The Big Draw and Damru drums at Cutty Sark, Here be dragons and Frightening faces at the National Maritime Museum (admission free), and Out of this World Activity Mornings at the Royal Observatory.
Year-round fun for kids
At the National Maritime Museum explore and play on our huge world atlas The Great Map, and set sail for distant lands with our magical interactive game The Great Explorer. Pop along to our regular family events: Explore Saturdays, Discover Sundays and Play Tuesdays.
Don't miss our Cutty Sark Family Fun weekends on the first weekend of every month (Free for under-5s).

Bring your older children (6-12s) aboard our free All Hands Children’s Gallery (floor 2). Become a captain and try your hand at manoeuvring into port using our state-of-the-art Ship's Bridge Simulator or fire a cannon at a dastardly pirate ship. Bring your sea legs as it can get choppy!
Opening times: AHOY! and All Hands are open daily (except 10.00–14.00 on Mon and Weds-Fri in term-time). The Bridge Simulator is open weekends, Tuesdays and school holidays.
Family fun on Cutty Sark
Explore the world's most famous sailing ship! Step into the shoes of Cutty Sark’s crew - play our interactive app Captain Woodget’s Apprentice, climb into the bunks where sailors slept, and see if you can beat the Captain's fastest voyage.
Borrow an under-5’s back pack with toys, sensory objects and a story or pick up our new free family trail from the admissions desk to help you explore.
Planetarium shows for children
Come to London's only planetarium for a breathtaking cinematic experience. Space Safari is our live planetarium show for under-7s - join Ted the Bear as he journeys throughout the solar system looking for the Great Big Bear in the sky.
Our other Planetarium shows are recommended for ages 5+ (under-3s admitted free).
