Barlow remains on board the ROYAL CHARLES while she is moored at Gillingham for the winter. He explains the difficulties he and others had receiving and keeping their pay.
The ROYAL CHARLES is moored at Gillingham for the winter. Barlow stays on board but complains about the food. He returns to his master's house and later they go to the Guildhall to receive their pay. Barlow explains how some men on board during 1658 were never paid.
