Throughout October we’ve been celebrating the rich and wonderful culture of India, one of the many countries Cutty Sark has sailed to. Lots of families took part in our Rangoli Patterns workshop from the 28-30 October and made this beautiful design on the floor, right under the ship's hull! Indian rangoli patterns are used for celebrations and to bring good luck. The designs were inspired by Diwali, the Festival of Lights which falls on 3 November, as well as shapes and patterns around the ship. Did you take part? Have a look at the pictures and see if you can spot your design! There’s lots more family fun coming up at Cutty Sark. Keep an eye on our events calendar for details of family fun weekends on the first weekend of the month and holiday activities. The next workshop is Christmas Cargoes on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December. Rangoli patterns was part of the Family Arts Festival and The Big Draw #familyartsfest #thebigdraw
