Following guidance received from the UK Government to minimise social contact, Royal Museums Greenwich is temporarily closed to visitors and will re-open no earlier than 1 May 2020.
This includes the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, the Queen’s House, Peter Harrison Planetarium and the Prince Philip Maritime Collection Centre.
We will continue the full range of our non-public facing activities, in order to care for the national collection and provide access to our objects and expertise. You can see some of the ways in which we will be doing this online below.

I’ve booked a ticket for Cutty Sark or the Royal Observatory. Can I visit at another date?
Yes, your ticket will remain valid for a year until 31 March 2021. There is no reason to contact us to rebook.
I have a booking for a Planetarium show or another bookable event. Can I visit on another date?
Yes, once we reopen, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange this. If we are unable to reschedule your event then our bookings team will get in touch
I had a booking but cannot visit on another date. Can I get a refund?
Yes, please contact email@example.com to arrange this.
Are museum shops and cafes also closed?
In line with our closure policy, all Museum shops and cafes will be closed until further notice.
I've booked a wedding or corporate event - will this go ahead?
If you have any questions you can speak to our team directly on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is the Caird Library and Archive closed?
In line with our closure policy, the Caird Library and Archive is also closed. However you can continue to explore over 2.5 million objects, manuscripts and books from our collection via Collections Online.
What is happening to my Membership during the Museum’s closure?
We will be extending all Memberships for the duration of the closure so you will not lose any time on your Membership. Find out more here.
