Let your children's imaginations run wild at The Cove, a brand new outdoor playground at the National Maritime Museum.

Clamber aboard the ship and take the wheel, spin on the compass roundabout, scramble through the mighty Kraken’s tentacles and come face to face with the giant Cutty Shark!

Meet colourful characters from Cutty Sark’s past and discover stories of life on board the fastest ship of its day.

Get to know the likes of Captain Woodget, Jock Willis and Nannie the Witch as they take you on a guided tour of the ship that made them famous. Both you and your little ones will learn more about what life was like on board the fastest tea clipper of its time, in these entertaining and educational interactive performances.

Our daily shows in the Peter Harrison Planetarium include shows suitable for all ages. From Ted's Space Adventure for toddlers to The Sky Tonight for slightly older astronauts, these shows will teach even the biggest sci-fi fan a thing or two about space.

You don't really know a ship until you know how what it's like to live on board. Discover more about how the crew lived, where they ate and slept. See for yourself what it might have been like, and clamber into the bunk beds.

Food and drink options for kids in Greenwich

The Great Map Cafe is located at the heart of the National Maritime Museum, perfect for when kids (and grown-ups!) need an energy boost. The cafe has child-friendly lunchboxes as well as hot food, salads and sandwiches. There's a separate feeding area for mothers and babies, and a buggy park too. 

There's also the Parkside Cafe right next to Greenwich Park, and families can even enjoy tea and treats beneath the hull of Cutty Sark itself: the perfect way to end your trip to Greenwich.
