All our museums and attractions are currently closed to visitors.
However, we are working hard to prepare our site to reopen as soon as current restrictions are lifted.
If you have a question about an existing booking, please check our FAQs below or contact bookings@rmg.co.uk.

Frequently asked questions
We are working hard to put very strict protocols in place to operate and keep children, parents and our staff safe. This is not a straightforward opening and we need time to ensure safety measures are in place before we open these galleries. We will update the website with any new developments.
We are limiting the number of visitors to help everyone follow social distancing guidelines and to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff. Pre-booked timeslots ensure that visits are spread out throughout the day, and that sites don’t exceed their capacity. There is no limit to the time you can spend on our sites. However, you will need a separate ticket for each site.
You can purchase tickets over the phone by calling our bookings office on 0208 312 6608, 9am-5pm.
Your tickets to the Royal Observatory or Cutty Sark will be valid for a year, until 31 March 2021. We ask that all unused tickets are exchanged for new timed tickets in advance. When you are ready to re-book, please email your order confirmation, along with your new visit date and arrival time to bookings@rmg.co.uk. You will be sent new e-tickets ahead of your visit. If you turn up on the day without exchanging your tickets in advance and there isn’t availability, you will be asked to contact the Bookings team to book an alternative visit date.
In line with guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care, we will share your contact details with NHS Test and Trace personnel, if requested, in the event of a fellow customer or staff member testing positive for coronavirus.
Supporting NHS Test and Trace will help to minimise the transmission of COVID-19 and avoid the need to introduce local lockdown measures.
Yes, audio guide devices are now back at Cutty Sark; we will not be offering headphones at this time so please bring you own if you are able to. You can also still follow the audio tour of Cutty Sark using your phone and a link to the audio guide for your mobile device will be sent with your e-ticket upon booking.
We are busy working to get our Royal Observatory's guided tour online, and we will update our website as soon as it's available.
We kindly ask all visitors to adhere to the government laws on group and household meetings and gatherings. This will vary depending on which tier level London is in at the time of your visit. If your group does not comply with these restrictions you may be turned away.
As part of the Government's tier three guidance, residents living in areas under these restrictions are advised not to leave their area unless for work or educational purposes. If you are currently living under Tier 3 restrictions, please do not visit our sites. Please email bookings@rmg.co.uk to postpone your visit until it is safe and possible to do so.
Our sites are unfortunately required to close when Greenwich is under tier three restrictions.
You will need to book your ticket in advance so we’re able to control numbers to maintain public safety. However, you can book online on the day of your visit if there are timeslots available. Unfortunately, if there isn’t availability, you will be politely turned away.
As a member, you have free access to all our sites, but you will now need to book your visit online in advance even at our free sites. To ensure as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy our sites, please do let us know if you are unable to visit so we can allocate your space to other visitors. If you have any questions, please email membership@rmg.co.uk or phone the team on 020 8312 6678 (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).
You can arrive early and enjoy the outside spaces, but you will not be allowed to enter the sites. You can have access to the sites within half an hour of the start time of your visit. Please note that queuing is not permitted indoors due to lack of space and social distancing guidelines. In case of rain or inclement weather, please arrive prepared with everything you may need.
We will do our best to fit you in if we can, but if we have reached capacity for the timeslot when you arrive, you will have to wait for the next available timeslot.
No, not at our paid sites. You can show us your booking confirmation as a printout or on your mobile device, but without it we won’t be able to let you in. For the sake of everyone’s safety, we need to be really careful that we only admit visitors with a valid booking confirmation. At our free sites, we will be able to admit you if you rebook and we have available capacity.
Yes, as long as you have your booking confirmation with you either as a printout or on your mobile device. Please remember you will need your card to take advantage of your discount benefits.

You will receive your booking confirmation by email. Just bring this with you either on your mobile device or as a printout. Unfortunately, our on-site ticket scanners are unable to read tickets on mobile phones with cracked screens. If you are a Member you will also need to show your Membership card. Please note we are unable to send tickets by post.
Timeslots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so your chosen timeslot may be fully booked. We only have a limited capacity for each timeslot to ensure we can maintain social distancing.
Yes, you will be automatically refunded.
Please check it hasn’t gone to your spam folder first. If you still can’t find it, please email the Bookings team in advance of your visit on bookings@rmg.co.uk.

Please do remember to bring your Blue Light Card as well as your e-ticket on the day of your visit.
Members of our partner organisations can still take advantage of their discount, although they will need to ring the bookings team to book. We accept all major debit/credit cards online, except AMEX.
We are so grateful for the support our Members have shown us over the past months. We really can’t overstate how important our Members are to our work as a charity. Members will be invited to visit each of our sites ahead of our opening to the public. In order to comply with social distancing guidelines and measures, capacity will be restricted. Once we are open to the public Members will have to book in the same way as the public in order for us to manage capacity and the safety of all of our visitors. We thank you for your understanding.
If you lose something at our sites, please email bookings@rmg.co.uk with your name, contact details, a description of the item and the date of your visit. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to store any lower value items found onsite. We kindly ask that you look after your personal property while visiting our sites.
Yes, we would ask that you wear a face covering when visiting our sites, unless you are exempt for health reasons. It is now mandatory to wear a face covering when entering museums, galleries, indoor visitor attractions and shops. For a list of current exemptions, please check the government guidelines.
