How do artists portray the personality, power and position of a person in a single portrait?

Investigate how poses, costume and background impact on the interpretation and meaning of portraits.

Book Session

Pupils will:

• work alongside a professional artist

• learn how to create expression

• take part in performance activities

• create artwork to take back to school

This session can be adapted for Key Stages 1 and 2. Sessions last 90 minutes.

Please bring cameras/tablets to capture and record your classes activities.
