Book a session in Ahoy!, our new gallery for 0-7s encouraging learning through play and exploration.

Please note: Schools visits to the Ahoy! children’s gallery are limited to one per day while we work on our exciting new Exploration Wing. There’s plenty more for school groups to see and do though, including Cutty Sark, the world’s last surviving tea clipper, where you can experience the great age of sail. See our full schools offer

The gallery encourages learning through play and exploration, enabling children to find out about ships and the sea in a fun and stimulating way.

So jump aboard and fire up your imaginations with the chance to:

  • stoke the boiler of a steamship
  • dress up as a passenger on a 1920s cruise liner
  • buy and sell fish in the fish market
  • fire a cannon in a sea battle
  • plot your course in the Captain’s cabin
  • catch seaside creatures in the rock pools
  • steer an icebreaker through the polar ice
