Comedic political commentator Ayesha Hazarika and character comedy expert Alice Marshall perform brand new material before they hit the Edinburgh Fringe.

DATE CHANGE: This date has changed. Ayesha Hazarika & Alice Marshall will now perform at Cutty Sark on Tuesday 24 July.

Ayesha Hazarika: Girl on Girl

Post-#MeToo, women of the world have finally united for a good old-fashioned bitch fight. In her next show, Ayesha Hazarika analyses the fight for feminism and asks: are sisters doing it to themselves?

As seen on Matt Forde’s Unspun (Dave), Ayesha Hazarika, MBE, started her career as a stand-up comedian playing clubs across the country. She then took what she thought was a natural diversion into the Labour Party as a Special Adviser working for Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband.

Since leaving front line politics, Ayesha has been busy with touring her hugely successful debut show, State of The Nation, becoming a much sought-after commentator writing for the likes of Guardian, Evening Standard, as well as Grazia and making regular appearances on various TV and radio shows such as Good Morning Britain (ITV), Sky Papers (Sky News), The Andrew Marr Show (BBC1), Newsnight (BBC2), The Agenda (ITV) and The Today Programme (BBC Radio4).

Ayesha is now working up a brand-new show, ahead of taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe this year as well as hitting the road again on tour!

Alice Marshall: The Strike

WINNER of Best Comedy Show at Brighton Fringe 2017

This year's show sees Alice Marshall return with more of her signature weird and wonderful characters, and this time they're transporting you all the way to the fifth dimension. Join bold and brassy Hispanic air stewardess Maria - once dubbed 'the angriest woman in the skies' - as she welcomes the audience on-board for their 50-minute non-stop flight straight into the Twilight Zone.

Shortly after 'take off', the audience experience one hell of a lightning strike, and the plane careers through an unknown universe, throwing up a vast array of bizarre and delightful characters along the way. Forget everything you know about air travel - this is a journey with a difference.

★★★★★ The Fountain "One of my favourite shows at this year's fringe.”

★★★★ Funny Women "The mix of beauty and grotesque is compelling, and her characters repel and delight in equal measure.”

★★★★ The Wee Review "Alice Marshall does character comedy at its rawest"
