John Tams and Barry Coope return to Cutty Sark for another night celebrating six decades of musicianship

John Tams and Barry Coope are a unique collaboration, described by the Borderline Club as "rich, powerful and full".

John is the multi award-winning composer of music for the hit stage show War Horse and the TV series Sharpe. His musical career extends back to the Muckram Wakes, taking in the Albion Band and Home Service as well as solo albums.

Barry Coope is a gifted accompanist and singer, formerly of Coope, Boyes and Simpson, the celebrated acapella trio celebrated throughout the UK and Europe.

They are former winners of the BBC Folk Awards Duo of the Year and together they bring experience, new writing and tradition to their humorous and captivating performances.

Described by Mojo magazine as “one of the ultimate British songwriters”, John Tams has had a career spanning six decades in every medium.

The pair will be performing in the stunningly beautiful space beneath the hull of the ship, which makes this an evening to remember.
