Our Mars-themed morning includes a planetarium show, interactive quiz and immersive virtual reality activity.

Join our Royal Observatory Astronomers for a series of activity packages for older children that include a planetarium show, two interactive workshops and a chance to talk to our astronomers.

Start your orientation in our state of the art digital planetarium to visit some popular destinations within our Solar System and beyond. Continue your mission with a brainbending Mars quiz using voting keypads and featuring stunning images of the planet. Finally take a virtual walk on Mars with our virtual reality activity to feel what it’s like to step onto the planet and identify features on the Martian surface. This will be combined with meteorite handling and a chance to ask astronomers about the possibility of life on Mars.

Please note the gates to the Royal Observatory Greenwich’s Astronomy Centre only open at 10am. On arrival please proceed to the planetarium.
