Celebrate Cutty Sark’s 148th birthday with a Swing Dance extraordinaire! Take to the floor to the swinging sounds of the 20s and 30s, accompanied by live musicians.

November 2017 marks the 148th anniversary of Cutty Sark's maiden voyage!

To help us celebrate, join us in our Sammy Ofer Gallery beneath the gleaming copper hull of our beloved Cutty Sark for a spectacular evening of live music and dancing. You'll have the chance to brush up on your moves with a swing dance demonstration and lesson from Medway Lindy Hoppers, whose light and lively feet will help get you into the swing of things. Then you'll have the chance to show off your new skills to a range of 20s and 30s tunes, as well as some original compositions by our musical hosts for the evening, Four Femmes on the Thames along with their partners, The Hommes.

'What an opportunity for a dance lesson and evening of entertainment in an iconic venue... we danced our socks off...the band were fantastic!' Audience review of Sailor's Ball swing dance at Cutty Sark, April 2017

Four Femmes on the Thames

Their unique mixture of vintage style and cheeky lyrics will have you dancing all night. Using a range of original tunes and classic swing numbers, Four Femmes on the Thames will whisk you off to decades past for an unforgettable evening beneath the magnificent hull of Cutty Sark

"These four talented starlets have managed to create something unique among their peers. I think you'll agree that there's no one else quite like them." ClickMusic
