Receptions and pre-dinner drinks
On the ground floor, the Square is an optimal space for receptions and pre-dinner drinks while your guests view one of the museum’s many amazing galleries. On warm evenings, receptions can be hosted under the adjacent stone colonnades with sweeping views across Greenwich Park.
Dinners and award ceremonies
The Great Map, situated on the first floor, is a light, open and modern space, which provides a dramatic backdrop to award ceremonies and gala dinners for up to 580 seated guests. The museum also houses a lecture theatre, ideal for daytime meetings and conferences.
With over 10,000sqm of spacious grounds, the Royal Museums Greenwich grounds adjacent to the National Maritime Museum provide the opportunity to host large scale events such as festivals and experiential marketing set-ups, as well as relaxing summer barbecues and corporate parties. Find out more.
Explore our new galleries
Opened in September 2019, our four new galleries are an amazing add-on to your event. With over 1,100 more objects on display, your clients will be able to uncover hidden histories, reimagine familiar stories and reflect on their connection to the sea.
The Photography Gallery, launched in October 2018, currently showcases the most spectacular space photography of its kind, celebrating ten years of awe-inspiring images shot by astrophotographers worldwide. The gallery is available as a VIP area or stand-alone reception space.
