If you have a passion for astronomy, consider joining the Flamsteed Astronomy Society, a Royal Museums Greenwich-affiliated special-interest group.
The Flamsteed Astronomy Society
The Flamsteed Astronomy Society explores new concepts and discoveries in astronomy. Members and world-class astronomers meet in the National Maritime Museum's Lecture Theatre on the first Monday of the month during the winter, and in summer there’s an active programme of visits and activities. The group also has ‘observing sessions’ out and about, and special sessions using the Royal Observatory’s 28-inch telescope.
Membership of the Flamsteed Astronomy Society costs from £74 for Single Membership, £115 for Joint Membership and £63 for Concessionary Membership. This includes the price of the standard Royal Museums Greenwich Membership.
An annual guest pass can be purchased at admissions or from the Membership office for any type of membership at £25. The pass can only be used in conjunction with the Member.
