Quiet Study Area Closures Thursday 27 June

Important information for visitors

Until summer 2025, there is a new visitor route at the National Maritime Museum while we carry out essential improvements to the Museum's roof. Most galleries will still be open as normal, and special exhibitions are currently free for all visitors. However, the Great Map and AHOY! will be closed for the duration of the works. A quick post to let Readers know that the Quiet Study Area of the Caird Library will be closed for part of Thursday 27 June. The details of the closures are: 10am-12.30pm: Library Event: Introduction to the Caird Library AND 6.00-7.45pm: Archive Event: Jane Austen and the Navy The Quiet Study Area of the Library will not be available to Readers during these times. Between 10am and 7.45pm, the Group Study Area of the Library will be open as normal on Thursdays. If you are interesting in attending either (or both!) event(s), please note places are limited and do need to be booked in advance.
