The Queen’s House is a truly unique, iconic and stylish wedding venue. Conceived as a ‘House of Delight’ for James I’s Queen, this exquisite former royal residence is set in the green and leafy surroundings of Greenwich Park, London, with spectacular views across the gardens of historic Greenwich to the River Thames and the contrasting skyscrapers of Canary Wharf beyond.
Designed by the pioneering architect Inigo Jones, the Queen’s House is Britain’s first and finest classical building and a masterpiece of 17th-century architecture. The House is now filled with art and design classics both old and new, including paintings by great British and European masters.
From drinks on the lawns with sweeping park views, to unforgettable ceremonies and dinners in the boutique South Parlours or striking Great Hall, to dancing into the night in the atmospheric stone-arched Undercroft, the Queen’s House is a very special place to celebrate.
The striking beauty of this perfect 40-foot-cube Hall, with its original black-and-white geometric marble floor and views across the Thames, provides a spectacular setting for ceremonies and dinners for up to 120 guests.
Bathed in southern light with breath-taking views across one of London's oldest royal parks and up to the Royal Observatory, the Orangery and South Parlours provide a beautiful location for toasting your marriage with a drinks reception.
The Orangery and South Parlours also provide one of the most stylish locations in London for small wedding ceremonies and boutique wedding breakfasts for up to 50 guests.
The vaulted Undercroft beneath the Great Hall offers an atmospheric party space for dancing and after-dinner entertainment, where further evening guests can be invited.
