Aurora Day at the Royal Observatory: Enquiry form

Thank you for wishing to book on to one of our Aurora Days at the Royal Observatory! Our Aurora Days are designed specifically for groups with SEND so we can adapt to your group’s needs. If you feel your group would like to attend a mainstream school session, please fill in the form below.

The Royal Observatory is unfortunately not currently the best placed to cater for those with PMLD or similar needs. If your group has these needs, please take a look at the programme offered by our colleagues at the National Maritime Museum and the Cutty Sark.

Please read the following information carefully before completing this form. All school sessions must be booked in advance. We do not accept provisional bookings. Once our Bookings team confirms your booking, a confirmation letter will be sent to the lead teacher and school finance team.

Please note we have a strict 28 days cancellation period. If you would like to know more about our cancellation fees, please refer to our Booking Terms and Conditions below. Please make payment by card by calling 020 8312 6608.

You must pay for your sessions before they begin. We can arrange for you to pay by BACS if requested. We do NOT send invoices or accept payment by cheques.

You must have enough staff to meet the following supervision requirements:

EYFS/KS1 – 1 adult per 5 students

KS2 - 1 adult per 8 students

KS3 and KS4 - 1 adult per 10 students

Post-16 – 1 adult per 16 students.

Adults providing any one-to-one support for students must be in addition to the above.
We reserve the right to deny entry into our facilitated learning sessions if the supervision requirements are not met.
