Transcription from a "Blue Amberol" phonograph cylinder of the voice of the late Sir Ernest Shackleton, recorded by him on his return from the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907-1909, assumed to be made soon after the Expedition's arrival in Lyttelton, New Zealand, on 25 March 1909; Transcription from an HMV Disc recording of the voice of the late Sir Ernest Shackleton, referred to as "A description of the dash for the South Pole", including poetry extracts from "The Lone Trail" by Robert Service.
