Enjoy your trip to Greenwich by rail or river, it takes no time at all. We're just 20 minutes from central London by DLR, or make the journey part of the fun and arrive by boat.
For Greenwich town centre, the nearest stations are:

Oyster cards can be used at all local stations and on buses. All our museums are within easy walking distance of each other, and only a short walk from the stations, within historic Greenwich and Royal Greenwich Park.

You can reach us from central London via direct routes from Cannon Street (rail) or Bank (DLR).
Cutty Sark DLR station has step-free access. Greenwich and Maze Hill rail station platforms have step free access via ramp, lifts or underpass. The ticket offices and car parks at these stations are also step free.

MBNA Thames Clippers are the fastest and most frequent river transport services, with departures from all major London piers every 20 minutes. Your journey time is 35 minutes from London Eye Pier, 25 minutes from London Bridge Pier or 20 minutes from Tower Pier.

City Cruises offer sightseeing cruises which enable you to explore the many sights of the River Thames. They depart to and from Greenwich every 30 minutes, every day of the week, all year round from piers near popular attractions including Westminster, London Eye and Tower of London.

The Thames Clipper service provides boarding ramps for wheelchair users. Guide and assistance dogs are also welcome on board without charge.
Greenwich Pier has installed Europe's first Ramp Rider greatly improving access for wheelchair users getting on and off boats at Greenwich at low tide. The pier is situated next to the Cutty Sark and it is just five minutes’ walk to the National Maritime Museum from the river.

Museum parking for visitors with disabilities
Limited pre-booked spaces are available for disabled visitors in the Museum car park. Please pre-book, otherwise we cannot guarantee a place.
Parking in Greenwich is limited, particularly at weekends. There are off-street pay-and-display car parks in Greenwich Park (run by the Royal Parks; 250 spaces, maximum 4 hours).
The Royal Borough of Greenwich operates car parks nearby in Park Row and Burney Street. Usual exemptions apply for Blue Badge holders.
For the National Maritime Museum, Queen's House and centre of Greenwich, there are set down/pickup bays in Stockwell Street (20 minutes maximum), which is a five minute walk to our museums.
Coaches can also set down young or elderly parties closer to the Museum in Romney Road (westbound only) before proceeding to a parking place. There is a long-stay coach parking bay in Norman Road.

Greenwich is on the National Cycle Network and can be reached by traffic-free routes through parks alongside the rivers Thames, Lea and Ravensbourne.

There is a secure public car park at the National Maritime Museum which can be used by visitors to any of our museums.
Opening hours: 08.00–19.00 on weekends and bank holidays.
The car park is located on Park Row within the grounds of the Museum. There are approximately 90 spaces. Vehicles must fit within the marked bays. The car park is not open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
