23 empty envelopes (have been separated from letters); a typed poem; loose pieces of correspondence; 1 book of postcards entitled 'Souvenir of Madeira'. One piece of correspondence is part of a letter from 'Lilian', addressed to Mrs Short, dated 1947. There are 5 postcards in the loose correspondence, three are blank. There is a note from the Rover Secretary to Ambrose from 1934, and a Christmas card with no date, but which contains a photograph of HMT NEURALIA, so presumably it dates from Short's time working on this ship (1931-1932).
