Covid-19: information for visitors

Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and Queen's House will be closed from 5 November in line with government guidelines.

However, as soon as restrictions are lifted we'll be ready to welcome you back.

Royal Museums Greenwich is in London zone 2. It’s just ten minutes from central London by rail, or a quick and easy journey by DLR or boat.

Nearest stations: Cutty Sark DLR, Greenwich rail station/DLR, Maze Hill rail station, Greenwich Pier (for boat)

Bus routes: 53, 54, 129, 177, 180, 188, 199, 202, 286, 380, 386 and N1

By boat: MBNA Thames Clippers depart to and from all major London piers every 20 minutes. 

The National Maritime Museum, the Queen’s House, Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory are within walking distance of each other and from central Greenwich. 

Parking

There is a secure public car park at the National Maritime Museum which can be used by visitors to any of our museums.

Opening hours: 10.30am - 4.30pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Charge: £10 for the day (10.30am - 4.30pm)

The car park is located on Park Row within the grounds of the Museum. There are approximately 75 spaces. Vehicles must fit within the marked bays. The car park is not open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The Royal Observatory is a 20 minute walk from the car park. The walk is uphill and not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Family visits
