Royal Observatory Greenwich

Royal Museums Greenwich offers schools sessions supporting history, art, geography, astronomy, science, technology, numeracy and literacy and programmes led by experienced facilitators and real astronomers.

We host workshops and learning programmes across all our sites, including the National Maritime MuseumCutty SarkQueen's House and Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre.

The Royal Observatory Schools programme will resume in January 2026, based at the National Maritime Museum due to a site regeneration project taking place at the Royal Observatory. 

Pre-booking school visits is essential, and we are happy to help and advise if you make an enquiry.

Schools on Ice at the Queen’s House Rink!

From 24 November to 12 December, bring your class for a unique skating trip at just £5 per skater. Set in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s a fun and festive way to get active, with helmets and skate aids provided for younger skaters.  Click here to book your slot.
