The Royal Observatory schools programme will begin in January 2026 due to the upcoming site regeneration project. Our brilliant Astronomy Education team will be working on an exciting refresh of our schools offer, and a temporary programme based at the National Maritime Museum.
There are no astronomy school workshops or Planetarium shows available until later in 2026.

Royal Museums Greenwich offers schools sessions supporting history, art, geography, astronomy, science, technology, numeracy and literacy and programmes led by experienced facilitators and real astronomers.
We host workshops and learning programmes across all our sites, including the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, Queen's House and Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre.
The Royal Observatory Schools programme will resume in January 2026, based at the National Maritime Museum due to a site regeneration project taking place at the Royal Observatory.
Pre-booking school visits is essential, and we are happy to help and advise if you make an enquiry.
