Family-friendly cafés
Our cafés welcome children and families. All serve wholesome sandwiches, salads, hot dishes and cakes, with most offering special menus for our youngest guests. Children’s lunchboxes are also available.
The Great Map Café in the National Maritime Museum is especially child-friendly, being located alongside the Great Map, our giant world atlas. Relax with a cup of our award-winning Benugo coffee while the little ones explore the continents.
The National Maritime Museum offers a separate feeding area for mums with babies.

Children's events and activities
We regularly programme activities for children, including ‘Play Tuesday’. We also have two dedicated children’s galleries:
AHOY!: suitable for 0-7s, located on the ground floor
All hands: suitable for 6-14s, located on the second floor
On the first floor children can play ‘The great explorer’ interactive game on the Great Map.
