Name
Certificate number
Certificate Grade such as 2nd Class engineer and 1st class engineer
Place of Birth
Year of Birth
Remarks including death, desertion, lost certificates, whether the certificate was sent back to office and at times the name with official ship number of the last ship they were on.
Certificate numbers can be found in the Registers to Certificates of Competency and Service (Engineers) held at The National Archives (Index BT 141 also see BT 139.) .
