Join us for a weekend of inspiring events that explore our deep and enduring connection to the Moon through art, music, poetry and science.
From creative performances to hands-on activities, this celebration brings together diverse voices and perspectives, highlighting cultural and global connections to our closest celestial neighbour.
This celebration is being held as part of NASA's international Observe the Moon Night and to mark World Space Week.
Check out what's on below.
Activities on Saturday take place at the Old Royal Naval College and activities on Sunday are at the National Maritime Museum, as the Royal Observatory is partially closed for an exciting redevelopment project.
Saturday 4 October schedule - Old Royal Naval College

Gloriana choir
Old Royal Naval College Chapel | 2.30pm and 4pm | Free, but you must book a place
Join us at the Old Royal Naval College as we hear celestial music about the Moon, stars and planets sung by the fantastic Gloriana choir.
Founded in 2016, this all-female choir is led by Director Deborah Miles-Johnson, a singer in the Royal Opera House and previous member of the BBC Singers. The choir's many performances have included singing within Rothschild and Co's Sky Pavilion and performing for Classic FM.
Celestial Reflections: An Evening of Poetry and Moongazing
Painted Hall and Upper Lawns of the Old Royal Naval College | 7pm-9:30pm | Ticketed
Hear some poetry inspired by the Moon and have a chance to observe the Moon under the experienced guidance of the Flamsteed Astronomy Society. See the Moon through one of our telescopes and, if the weather isn't playing nice, you'll still have the chance to ask the Society's volunteers all of your questions about observing the sky for yourself.
Sunday 5 October - National Maritime Museum
