The fleet runs into danger as they approach Chatham because the pilots mistakenly direct the ships into shallow water.
The fleet sails to Hollesley Bay, Suffolk, and then continues on to Chatham. Due to an error by the pilots the ships run into great danger because the water is very shallow as they approach Chatham.
