In March 1660 Barlow rejoins the NASEBY, which receives orders to lead a fleet of fourteen ships to fetch King Charles II from exile in The Hague.
Barlow is over-worked and badly fed at the cook shop. In March 1660 he is sent to rejoin the NASEBY, which is ordered to fetch King Charles II from exile in The Hague. Charles is proclaimed King on board and every crew member is given a pint of wine to drink the King's health.
