Barlow and others are sent ashore to help the Portugese defend Tangier by firing from the city walls. A squadron of ships arrives from England carrying more soldiers, and Barlow's ship sails for Lisbon with the fleet, which will convey Catherine of Braganza to England to marry the King. The MARTAINE GALLEY is ordered instead to take dispatches to England.
