The YARMOUTH encounters a storm on the way to Algiers and her foremast is badly damaged. At Algiers Barbary pirates have captured an English merchant ship, but they let her go when they see the YARMOUTH. The English threaten war with the Turks. The English consul sends a young lion on board the Admiral's ship, to be taken back to England. The fleet lands at Formentera to get wood.
