Uncatalogued: Papers of Captain Thomas King Scott.
2 Envelopes and 1 folder. Envelope 1 contains an old, worn knife, rusted and covered by a leather scabbard of similar condition. The knife has been kept with a label attached which reads, "knife used by T.K. Scott during his five voyages to Australia in LOCH ETIVE ... [pacific?] ships (Glasgow), Apprentice , 1907-1912". Envelope 2 contains a small notebook titled "Notes on the passage of the Barque LOCH ETIVE from Glasgow to Sydney. Sailed Aug. 26th 09". Contains handwritten, page long entries for most days. The folder contains a large sheaf of handwritten documents, on the front of which a small photograph and label have been affixed. This reads "1st Voyage to Australia. Barque[?] LOCH LOMOND; Master: Captain Donaldson; T.K. Scott, aged 16 years and one month; Born 22nd November, 1891".
