"All at sea with P&O" : a paper to be given at the National Maritime Museum as part of the Open Museum "Passengers" Study Day run in conjunction with Goldsmith's College, University of London, on Saturday 10 March 2011 /Stephen Rabson.

This paper explores the history of P&O from a passenger's perspective and includes quotations from diaries and official reports. There is a focus on the variety of passengers who chose to travel, needed to travel and were made to travel during the course of P&O's history. The change on board the vessels, from multiple classes to one single class, is also highlighted. Mention is also made of P&O involvement in wartime, including the First World War and Second World War.
