The Aberdeen Steam Navigation Company Ltd / Graeme Somner
A history of the Aberdeen Steam Navigation Company from 1821 until 1964. Passenger sailings did not resume after the Second World War and the Company was bought by the Coast Lines Group in 1945 and ceased trading within that group in 1962. The Coast Lines Group was absorbed by the P & O Steam Navigation Company in 1971. The book gives fleet lists for both sailing and powered vessels and an index of ships' names. Also contains photos and watercolour illustrations of the Company's vessels.
