On board the hulk of the steamship Great Britain (1843) beached in Sparrow Cove, Falkland Islands. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the upper deck just forward of the mainmast looking forward and slightly to port showing the iron forward hatch coaming on the left. The deck planking is in poor condition and the windlass is still in position just ahead of the foremast.
