On board the hulk of the steamship Great Britain (1843) beached in Sparrow Cove, Falkland Islands. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the upper deck just forward of the mainmast looking aft. The deck planking is in poor condition but the iron deck beam is still intact. The deckhouse is almost a shell and most of the guardrails are still in position. Two small hulks are close to the shore on the left.
