On board the hulk of the steamship Great Britain (1843) beached in Sparrow Cove, Falkland Islands. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the upper deck forward of the mainmast looking to port and forward showing the forward iron hatch coaming. The deck planking is in poor condition and most of the port guardrails are still in position.
