Hastings luggers

This view of the Hastings lugger regd RX198 is taken from the starboard bow quarter. A net hangs over the starboard gunwale with trawl boards at each end. To port of the mizzen mast a hook on a block on a line hanging from the mast is fastened to a vertical timber. This, speculatively, may be part of a device for landing the boat's catch.
