Toki
A Cook Islands ceremonial toki or adze with a stone blade. It has decorative binding and carving. The shaft is carved in a K-pattern. It dates from after European contact and was made for trade, based on an earlier more utilitarian design. Formerly in the collections of the London Missionary Society.
