The free exhibition at the Queen's House looks into early representations of some very extraordinary places.
It includes the first depictions of a kangaroo and a dingo in Western art, with our recently acquired beautiful Stubbs' paintings, alongside stunning visual records of Captain Cook's famous voyages of discovery. Last week our curators carried out a Twitter tour of the exhibition, we've selected our highlights below. https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540536027840921600 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540541071936090114 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540542310816038913 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540543598492524544 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540544854581735424 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540546107260936194 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540547390176907264 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540548598409089024 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540549909527547905 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540551142522892288 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540552374025080832 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540553667355488258 https://twitter.com/NMMGreenwich/status/540554888753606657 The exhibition is open until July 2015, though Stubbs' Kangaroo will be going on tour from March.
