Details of a Court Martial held aboard the ELIZABETH in the Downs, President Matthew Aylmer, Vice Admiral of the Blue, at which Lieutenant Edmund Pain, 4th Lieutenant of the St. MICHAEL, was sentenced to forfeit all the Pay due to him in the Ship for having taken money off several Masters of Merchant Ships to discharge Men imprest by him into His Majesty's Service. He was also sent to Prison for three months and rendered incapable of his Majesty's Service for the future.
