In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosure: Copy of a report of the defects of the ASSISTANCE in the Downs complementing and extending a report prepared in Portsmouth but not completed due to her sudden departure from there. The report, which is not extensive, nevertheless shows the ship to be a rather sorry condition. Signed William Guy, surveyor.
